🐶 Carrot Oatmeal Dog Biscuits 🥕🍪

Ingredients:
– 1 cup of rolled oats 🌾
– 1 cup of whole wheat flour 🌾 (you can use oat flour or another flour if your dog has wheat allergies)
– 1/2 cup of grated carrots 🥕
– 1/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce 🍏 or mashed banana 🍌
– 1/4 cup of natural peanut butter 🥜 (make sure it does not contain xylitol)
– 1 egg 🥚
– 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon (optional) 🌿
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, whole wheat flour, and ground cinnamon (if using).
3. Add the wet ingredients: Add the grated carrots, unsweetened applesauce or mashed banana, natural peanut butter, and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined. The dough should be thick but pliable. If it’s too dry, add a little water, a tablespoon at a time, until the dough reaches the desired consistency.
4. Shape the biscuits: Scoop out small portions of dough and roll them into balls. Flatten each ball with your hand or a fork to form biscuit shapes. You can also use cookie cutters to create fun shapes.
5. Bake: Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and firm to the touch.
6. Cool: Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack before serving them to your dog.
Storage:
Store the carrot oatmeal biscuits in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze them for longer storage.
Enjoy making these delicious and healthy treats for your furry friend! 🐾
